Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be in the dugout for the first time as a Chelsea manager against Bohemians on Wednesday. The Blues are currently in Ireland for pre-season with a large number of the first team players arriving on Monday.
It is understood that Lampard has been conducting light training sessions for the players in what would be a hectic pre-season. The Blues face a schedule of seven matches in five different countries.
This run would give Lampard an idea of his best squad head of the new season.
Looking at his current squad we can predict the first 11 that would take to the field on Wednesday.
Kepa is the undisputed number one despite experiencing a mixed campaign that involved the fiasco in the Carabao Cup final. Ceaser Azpilicueta would play in the right back position flanked by Emerson on the left.
Brazilian defender David Luiz would be expected to partner Christensen in the central defence as Rudiger is still recovering from a long-term injury. Jorginho and Kante should start in the midfield.
Barkley could feature for the club in the advanced midfield position. Palmer could start on the left of the attack.
Pedro should play from the right wing and Tammy Abraham would be hoping to stake an early claim for a starting shirt upfront.
