The transfer window is officially opened, with a lot of moves already taking place. Reports from England says that Chelsea youngster Martell Taylor-Crossdale is set to move to German outfit Hoffenheim.
According to Sky Sports, the 19-year-old forward is scheduled for a medical at the club this week before signing for the club on a free transfer. Taylor-Crossdale is considered as one of the top young forwards at Chelsea enjoying success within the youth ranks.
He finished as the top scorer in the u18 Premier League two seasons ago. He would be joining a new trend of young English players moving to Germany for first-team opportunities.
The likes of Jadon Sancho, Reiss Nelson and Ademola Lookman have enjoyed stints in Germany. Sancho has developed into an undisputed starter for the club after leaving Manchester City while Nelson has also enjoyed his time at Hoffenheim.
Chelsea is not known for promoting youth products with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Rueben Loftus-Cheek the only notable players that have made the grade in the past decade.
Taylor-Crossdale has what it takes to succeed in Germany as he possesses pace and a key eye for goal.
Meanwhile, Chelsea would have to manage its large crop of players as the club is currently on a two transfer window ban from governing body FIFA.
