Arsenal announce transfer of pacy winger

According to reports from England, Japan international, Takuma Asano, has completed a permanent transfer to Partizan Belgrade.

Arsenal FC also confirmed the transfer deal via their website, which read: “Everyone at Arsenal wishes Takuma the best for his future.

“The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”

The Japanese winger had not made a single appearance for the Gunners since joining them from Sanfrecce Hiroshima in July 2016. He was out on loan all through his contract with the North London club. He was first loaned to VfB Stuttgart during the 2017-18 season, and then moved to Hannover 96 for the 2018/19 campaign.

Asano didn’t get chances to play for the Gunners due to number of wingers at Emirates Stadium and should he had remained at the club, he wouldn’t get the opportunity to play in the Arsenal first team especially now that they have signed Nicolas Pepe from Lille.

As the transfer window gradually draws to a close, Arsenal are working out ways to strengthen their weak defence as they push to sign Celtic defender, Kieran Tierney.

Coach Unai Emery is also faced with challenges for a new centre-back as the future of Koscielny and Mustafi yet remain unknown.
