Arsenal defender, Rob Holding has handed a major boost to the EPL side ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Holding, who ruptured his knee ligament during the game against Manchester United in December 2018 has returned to action with Arsenal U23 team.
The English defender after his injury was not expected in the team before the commencement of the new season, however, his recovery has been quick as he was spotted during the game against Watford on Saturday.
Arsenal FC expressed their delight over the return of the defender as they wrote via their Twitter handle, “What a sight. Rob Holding back on the field with our Under 23s today. So good to see you back out there, Rob.”
Likewise, the Gunners fans took to various social media platforms to celebrate the return of the English defender.
Holding is returning to the team at a time when the Unai Emery’s side is short of defenders with the likes of Koscielny and Mustafi reported to be on their way out of the club.
Arsenal will play against Newcastle in their opening EPL match come August 11th and having Holding around ahead of the game is a big boost.
