Arsenal are reportedly close to signing former Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Carrasco from Chinese outfit Dalian Yifang according to reports from Italy.
Top Italian reporter Nicolo Schira claims that the Gunners are in advanced talks with the winger as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of next season.
Shira tweeted that the Belgium international favours a move to the EPL and Arsenal are in pole position to finalise the move.
Carrasco was a reported target for the London side in January but a move failed to materialise.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery has been handed a transfer kitty of £45 million majorly due to the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League. It is understood that the Spanish tactician is looking for bargain signings that can improve the team.
Carrasco fits the bill as he has played for top clubs in Europe including scoring at the Emirates in the Champions League during his time at AS Monaco.
A transfer fee of £25-£30 million has been touted as the fee required to sign the player from Yifang Dalian.
Arsenal are looking to wrap the transfer in the next few days and it would be a good signing for the club as the 25-year old still has enough quality to succeed in the Premier League.
