Harry Maguire is one player always making the headlines this summer and this time he has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
According to the report from Sun, Arsenal submitted a ‘cheeky’ £50 million bid for the player. This inquiry according to the report was instantly rejected by Leicester City who value the player at around £86 million.
Manchester United are also interested in the defender and have already tabled a transfer fee of £70 million which has also been turned down by the club. Maguire is one of the highest paid players at the club and Leicester want full value for money.
Arsenal have a big disadvantage due to their limited budget cased by their failure to qualify for the Champions League. The Gunners now have £100million to spend on players which is a tad short if they are splash £70m on signing a single player.
Maguire is the sort of player that can bring an end to the problems facing Arsenal at the back. The 26-year-old has the experience and talent to thrive at the club, as he is excellent on the ball and is adept at defending aerial balls.
Arsenal would have to sell some players to raise funds for the transfer for the Leicester City defender who is regarded as the best defender outside the top six.
