Premier League side Arsenal have reportedly made a bid for Club Brugge forward Emmanuel Dennis according to reports in Turkey.
The report claims that Arsenal and Lyon have made an opening bid of €13.4million for the player with Turkish side Fenerbahce also interested in the forward.
Dennis is regarded as a quality player for the Belgium side and scored five goals in seven league games for Club Brugge last season. This is a good return considering that he averaged 60 minutes per game during this period.
It is a well-known secret that Arsenal do not have much money to spend in the transfer window and the club are looking for bargain signings.
Dennis is known for his ability to play with his back to goal and also boasts of decent pace. The 21-year-old is viewed as a replacement for out of contract forward Danny Welbeck widely expected to leave the Emirates in the summer.
Though Dennis is not a known commodity outside Belgium, he could prove to be an astute signing for the Gunners and at age 21 could develop into a quality player under the tutelage of Unai Emery.
£12 million could be a little excessive for a player that was not a regular for his side but the interest in the player means that Arsenal would need to pay more for his services.
