Arsenal are working hard on bringing quality signings after failing to make the top 4 and losing in the Europa League final last season.
One of the players linked with a move to the club, Joachim Andersen, has dropped a hint that he is open to leaving Sampdoria this summer.
Arsenal are believed to have made a £44 million bid for Andersen and his teammate Dennis Praet which was rejected by Sampdoria.
The Denmark international speaking to Goal revealed that he has enjoyed his stay in the Italian club but wants a move that would benefit his career.
Andersen also revealed that his agent has been approached by several clubs who are interested in his services.
‘I have loved my time in Sampdoria – the fans, the president, the staff, the players, the city – but maybe it’s time to move on to develop further’, he wrote.
‘There are a number of interested clubs from Europe’s biggest leagues who are discussing with my agent and I’ll be making a decision shortly together with my family and my agent.’
The confirmation by Andersen further increased speculations of a move to the Emirates stadium. Arsenal are in dire need of a quality defender that can improve the defence. Andersen looks the perfect fit for the defence as he is a proper defender. His combination with Sokratis would be one to watch for if he completes the move.
The 23-year-old is physically imposing with an uncompromising attitude towards defending. He is also an excellent passer of the ball and a dependable performer.
Arsenal would do well to sign the defender who has been linked to City rivals Tottenham in recent days.
