Arsenal are weighing up an offer of €50 million for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos. The highly-rated Spanish ace is considered as one of the top young midfielders in Europe but has struggled to claim a starting spot at the club.
It is understood that the Gunners have made inquiries about the availability of the player and Real Madrid have informed the club that Ceballos is available for sale.
Spanish tabloid AS corroborates this report and says that Arsenal are prepared to pay the asking fee for the young midfielder. Ceballos is considered as a dynamic midfielder capable of playing on different roles across the midfield.
He can also fill in as part of the front three and has shown himself as a quality player with his ability to score goals from distance.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery is looking to bring quality to the final third after a disappointing campaign for the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Ceballos is still young and has the ability to grow into a world-class performer under the watchful eye of Emery. The transfer looks unlikely as his release clause is more than the transfer kitty available for the club to spend.
However, we would not be surprised if he goes to the club on a season long loan.
