Arsenal have reportedly submitted bids to sign two players from Italian Serie A now that the curtains of the season have officially been drawn.
It is a general believe by Arsenal fans that the team needs surgery after their shambolic showing in the Europa final against Chelsea.
The competition which they lost was seen as a door through which to qualify for the highly coveted Champions League but alas it wasn’t to be.
So, reports are linking them to two players supposedly having enough quality to give them a push up the elite ladder which they have gradually and surely falling from since the dying moments of Arsene Wenger reign.
Accordingly, a €42 million bid have been submitted for two Sampdoria stars namely, Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet. 23-year-old Joachim joined the Italian side that finished 9th from FC Twente in 2017 and has gone to make 34 appearances for the club.
The defender is a solid option if Sampdoria are willing to listen to offers that meet their valuation for the highly rated center-back also admired by champions league finalist, Tottenham Hotspur and former Seria A giant, AC Milan.
Another player being reportedly monitored by the Gunners is Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet who also plays for Sampdoria and he’s touted as Aaron Ramsey’s replacement.
Even though the player has been on the wish list of the Emirate side for a couple of months but they seem to fall short due to their low financial outlay.
Some might laugh at the prospect of the Gunners signing the duo but where there is a will there is a way.
