Arsenal continues to impress in the league with the recent defeat of Bournemouth extending the club’s unbeaten run to over 2 months. Despite this excellent vein of form the Gunners continue to be linked with players ahead of the January transfer window.
According to reports from England, the North London outfit could bring in two players for a combined fee of £118 million.
Borussia Dortmund defensive midfielder Julian Wiegl the first player to be linked with a move to the Emirates. The 23-year-old has struggled o break into the first team this season despite Dortmund’s impressive start and looks to force a move away from the club.
A fee of 68million was reported by Eurosport as the amount needed for the Gunners to complete the transfer of the German international.
Italian tabloid Calcio Mercato also reports that Arsenal are ready to move for AS Roma star Cengiz Under. The Turkey international has impressed since his breakthrough campaign last season and has continued to this campaign.
According to the report a bid of £50 million is being packaged by Arsenal to execute the transfer.
It would be interesting if Arsenal could pull off both transfers as this could be the jolt required during the mid-season to maintain the push for the top 4 places.
