Aston Villa have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer window this summer having signed nine first team players this season.
The West Midlands club have spent over £100 million on new players but are still on the lookout for new signings.
According to reports from Italy, the club are reportedly looking to sign Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin. Villa manager Dean Smith is thought to be looking for a new goalkeeper this summer as the club are looking to compete this season.
Perin was the backup to Wojciech Szczesny last season and is understood to be seeking a permanent move away from Turin. Perin is regarded as a quality goalkeeper in Italy and possesses the right attitude to play in the EPL.
Burnley stopper Tom Heaton, Stoke City Jack Butland and Cardiff City Neil Etheridge have also been linked to the club in recent weeks.
Sky Sports claims that the 26-year-old has begun talks with Villa over a potential move to the club. Juventus are ready to sell after re-signing club legend Gigi Buffon this summer and a fee of around £15 million has been touted.
Perin would be a good signing for the club but it remains to be seen how this transfer would pan out in the coming days.
