Aston Villa remain one of the highest spenders in the league with over £100million spent on new signings. The club could be about to add another player to their array of talents as Brentford forward Said Benrahma has informed Brentford of his desires to join Aston Villa this summer.
The 23-year-old is eager to join former manager Dean Smith at the club as he seems to boost his profile in the Premier League. According to reports from England, Aston Villa value the former Nice forward at €16 million and have already made an offer to his club.
Benrahma was signed by Smith last season for €2million but quickly impressed in the Championship last campaign where he netted 11 goals in all competitions. He would be expected to provide cover for Aston Villa record signing Wesley Moraes.
The Algerian is considered as a hard worker and can lead the line while possessing an eye for goal. Brentford are asking for €20 million for the forward but Villa are looking to get a lower fee.
This transfer looks like one that could be completed in a couple of days. Villa have already signed eight players this season.
