English football club, Aston Villa have been making some new signings ahead of the new season.
According to Sun Sports, Aston Villa are set to complete a deal that will see Egypt international, Mahmoud Trezeguet arrive England from Turkish side Kasimpasa.
The report disclosed that the deal would be sealed within the next 48 hours after Villa CEO Christian Puslow agreed to a £8 million deal with the Turkish side.
It is also reported that the English club were able to beat French club, Saint-Etienne to sign Trezeguet. Saint-Etienne were reportedly waiting to make use of the £30m gotten from the sale of William Saliba to Arsenal to seal a deal.
On the other hand, Sun Sports disclosed Dean Smith had gone to Egypt during the African Cup of Nations AFCON to speak with the 24-year-old over a move to the Premier League.
Trezeguet scored 9 goals in 29 appearances for Kasimpasa last season. His performance in the AFCON also saw him being voted as the best player in Egypt Group A ahead of Liverpool star, Mo Salah.
He also had the highest number of completed dribbles in the Turkish league last season with 112 attempts. The Egyptian will be Aston Villa’s ninth signing this summer as they hope to improve next season.
