Manchester United have been linked with several players but are yet to complete a big transfer. The poor performance by the club last season had been expected to trigger a huge summer outlay and it appears like that could be the case.
Widespread report claims that the club has made a bid for Ajax ace Matthijs de Ligt. The Dutch defender is regarded as one of the best young talent in Europe and has been linked to several clubs.
Juventus were reported to be the favourites to sign the player but the latest reports from England suggests otherwise.
BBC reporter David Orstein claims that Manchester United is the only club to have submitted a concrete bid for the defender.
He however revealed that De Ligt does not favour a move to Old Trafford and is waiting on an offer from Juventus.
It is also understood that Harry Maguire has been planned as an alternative option for the Red Devils. The England International is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and has been linked with a move in the past few seasons.
It remains to be seen whether any of these deals would be completed by the Old Trafford outfit but we are sure to hear more once Wan-Bissaka’s move is completed.
