Manchester United are hopeful of signing a new center-back despite the stockpile of defenders at Old Trafford.
According to a recent report, Man Utd interest in Leicester City’s defender and England international, Harry Maguire, may take a new turn soon.
DailyStar report coach Brendan Rogers has set deadline for any club interested in signing Harry Maguire.
He reportedly added that the deal wouldn’t be allowed to drag on until the end of the transfer window so as to allow the player focus on the new season.
Man Utd and Man City have already made bids worth £60 million for the English defender but the Foxes have stressed that they wouldn’t accept anything short of £80 million.
Rogers hinted that once the time frame lapses, the Foxes wouldn’t accept any bid even if the Red Devils or any other interested club are ready to pay their valuation of the player.
He added that Leicester City have other players in mind should any offer come for Maguire but if it comes late they wouldn’t be able to sign a replacement.
Maguire is considered one of the best center back in the English Premier League and in England.
Hopefully, the Red Devils will be able to sign their long-time target, who would help restore the defence. We can only hope Man Utd make the move on time.
