It is the transfer season and rumours are expected to come up here and there. The latest rumour is on Manchester United target, Bruno Fernandes.
Daily Star reports that Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon are already coming up with plan B for Fernandes.
The report reveals that Lisbon are not willing to let the midfielder leave but they expect any interested club to pay £63 million if they must consider.
However, Man Utd seems not to be ready to spend that high on the goalscoring midfielder and are only focused on signing Harry Maguire from Leicester City instead.
Instead of waiting on the Red Devils to match their valuation of Fernandes, Daily Star reports that Sporting Lisbon are prepared to sell Wendel, Raphinha, Marcos Acuna, and Bas Dost to raise funds.
Other than Man Utd, EPL clubs; Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspurs at some point showed interest to sign Bruno Fernandes. However, while the Reds had completely dropped the idea, Tottenham went gone cold on the transfer.
Man United could yet drop the idea of signing Fernandes if Paul Pogba eventually remains at Old Trafford this summer.
There is no doubt that United need fresh legs in their midfield following the departure of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, however, paying £63m is quite an exorbitant fee for United who are offering around £45m for the attacker.
