Chelsea to agree €20m fee for Matt Miazga

Chelsea FC defender and American international, Matt Miazga next destination may now be the Italian Seria A.

The American defender, who was previously linked with moves to the Turkish League one month ago may finally head to Fiorentina.

News sources in Italy are reporting that Fiorentina have taken interest in Matt Miazga especially because he is an American player.

This is because the new owner of the club, Italian American billionaire, Rocco Commisso wants at least one American national team player in his newly acquired Italian club.

It is suggested that the Italian side intend to grow their market in the United State and signing an American player would make things easy for them.

Fiorentina had been linked with moves to sign Timothy Weah but he went ahead to join Lile.

The reports from Italy disclosed that Fiorentina approached Chelsea on their interest in Matt Miazga but they got a shocking transfer price from the Blues who are demanding £20 million.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, believes Miazga is worth between £7 – £8 million.

Matt Miazga had a difficult moment during the first half of the 2018/19 season before he was sent back to Stamford Bridge in January. He went ahead to join Reading on loan and he had better playing chances where he played all 18 Championship games.

  1. Cant believe the club is now considering on selling him. I wonder what will happen to the likes of Christensen and Zouma
