Chelsea are looking to ship off Brazilian midfielder Kennedy this summer according to reports from England.
It is understood that the club are looking to sell the player for a little less than his worth, which is £30 million, as they look to trim the number of players on their books.
Kennedy has been on loan at Newcastle for the past 18 months and was one of the best players for the club last season. However, he had a mixed season at the club and it remains to be seen if the club are willing to sign the utility player on a permanent deal.
The transfer fee demanded by the Blues could be a major stumbling block for Newcastle as the club are not known for expensive transfers. Furthermore, Kennedy has not done enough to warrant such fee.
It would be no surprise if the Chelsea sell him to a Chinese League outfit as the club have sold a number of Brazilians to the league. The sale of Oscar and Ramires to China fetched the Blues over £60 million in transfer fees and Kennedy could follow that route.
Chelsea are currently under the hammer of governing body FIFA who have slapped the club with a two-window transfer ban. It remains to be seen how the summer would pan out for the 23-year-old midfielder.
