Chelsea to make £70m bid for Christian Pulisic in January after holding transfer talks

After the weekend defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea are surveying the dossier of various players that can bolster their squad and this has led them to Borrussia Dortmund in Germany.

Chelsea are reportedly interestedin the services of American star, Christian Pulisic who is having an impressive season in the Bundesliga with Dortmund.

The 20-year-old who is also admired by Liverpool, rated at £70m has scored 1 goal and assisted 2 in the Bundesliga so far.

Chelsea’s interests in the player stems from the fear that one of their key player, Eden Hazard will join Spanish champions in the season end.

To reinforce their unenviable position, Hazard, whose contract expires next season has refused to sign the new contract extension on offer.

This perhaps has made the link to American wonder kid more plausible and hence the recurring interest in the Pennsylvania born footballer.

Pulisic’s meteoric rise has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich who are themselves having a season to forget quickly.

The hitch that might exist in the transfer though might be the unwillingness of Dortmund to do business in January unless the transfer fee is humongous.

Since Maurizio Sarri’s arrived with his style of play titled Sarri-ball, an attacking football with quick change in shape in defence and midfield, the blues have had impressive start until a blemish against Hotspur.

Adding a player of Pulisic quality might render the team a little unpredictable.
