Manchester United have been busy in the transfer window with the club recently signing Swansea City winger Daniel James some days ago.
Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is reportedly a key target for United with reports from England claiming that the club has seen an initial bid of £40 million rejected by the club.
It is understood that Crystal Palace have informed United that they will not sell the fullback for any bid less than £60 million.
Wan-Bissaka enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season at Palace where he showcased his unique ability to defend opposing wingers and make plays at the attacking end. Then England u21 international formed an excellent partnership with Andros Townsend on the right side of attack.
Manchester United reportedly want the 21-year-old as a replacement for outgoing rightback Antonio Valencia as they look to bolster the defence.
However, the Red Devils face competition from rivals Manchester City and Tottenham who are monitoring the player’s situation.
It is understandable that Crystal Palace wants to make as much as they can for the player who has a long-term contract with the club.
Wan-Bissaka is an upgrade to the club’s current options of Diogo Dalot and Ashley Young, he would add solidity and pace to the defence.
Manchester United are one of the few clubs who can afford the transfer fee and it remains to be seen if the club would be willing to spend big for the young defender.
