The Premier League begins on Friday as Liverpool takes on newly promoted outfit Norwich City at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp charges would be looking to take off from last season where they broke their all-time season record with 97 points.
Liverpool would be equipped with the knowledge that they need to achieve perfection in order to surpass Manchester City. Norwich comes as the perfect challenge for the Reds who are undefeated in their last 25 matches against newly promoted teams.
Jurgen Klopp has a full squad for the game with a number of players coming back from injury in the past few weeks. The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita just recovered from injuries and played the second half of the Community Shield.
Senegalese forward Sadio Mane is the player that could miss the game as he just resumed training this week. The forward was given an extended break after reaching the AFCON finals with Senegal last month.
It is expected that Klopp is likely to stick with the first XI that played against Manchester City on Sunday. Origi is likely to fill in for Sadio Mane while Xhaqiri and Keita could start from the bench on Friday.
The duo of Adam Lallana and Oxlade Chamberlain are also available for selection and it would be interesting to see whether both players would feature in the game.
