Aston Villa have been the biggest recruiters in this transfer window, signing 13 players and going from the news coming from the club, there could be more deals in-store. Manager Dean Smith revealed that the club are yet to close shop and are still monitoring a few deals.
Aston Villa have strengthened the entire team with the likes of Tyrone Mings and Ezra Konsa big-money moves in the defence. The club also signed Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba to strengthen the midfield.
The attack has new faces with Egyptian ace Trezequet expected to sparkle alongside record signing Wesley Moraes.
With less than five days remaining until the end of the transfer window, Smith urged fans to expect a little bit of transfer activity from the club.
According to the gaffer, the club is open to new signings but a number of factors must go right for a transfer to occur.
“We’re still looking, we’re always open, we’ve got some players we like, but everything has to line up I think for that to happen.”
The suggestion from Smith hints that a move could occur and there are rumours that the club are looking to sign former Liverpool ace Daniel Sturridge.
It remains to be seen who would be the next player to make the move to Villa Park. From the looks of things, the spending spree is far from over.
