English football club, Aston Villa have been making some new signings ahead of the new season.
According to sources from Egypt, Aston Villa have signed Egypt international, Mahmoud Trezeguet from Kasimpasa in a deal believed to be worth €11 million.
The report disclosed that the player has completed his transfer to the Premier League club ahead of an official announcement in the ‘next few hours’.
It was earlier reported Villa were able to beat French club, Saint Etienne in the race to sign Trezeguet. Saint Etienne were reportedly waiting to make use of the £30m gotten from the sales of William Saliba to Arsenal to seal a deal.
Sun Sports disclosed Dean Smith had gone to Egypt during the African Cup of Nations AFCON to speak with the 24-year-old on a move to the Premier League.
Trezeguet scored 9 goals in 29 appearances for Kasimpasa last season.
His performance in the AFCON also saw him being voted as the best player in Egypt Group A ahead of Liverpool star, Mo Salah.
He recorded the highest number of completed dribbles in the Turkish league last season with 112 attempts.
The Egyptian will be Aston Villa ninth signing this summer as they hope to avoid relegation next season.
