Manchester United are close to signing highly-rated Norwegian youngster Isak Hansen-Aaron according to latest reports from England. The teenager was linked to the club at the beginning of the season but a move failed to go through due to transfer regulations.
The youngster cannot sign a professional contract until he turns 16, however, Man United have moved in to secure the player on a pre-contract agreement which would see him join in the summer of 2020. Hansen-Aaron is regarded as one for the future and has already excelled in his native country Norway through the youth setup.
He also has ties to Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer as they are both represented by the same agent Jim Solbakken.
The 14-year-old is a central midfielder with excellent ball technique with the ability to dictate the tempo on the field. It was earlier reported by the Mail in January that Liverpool and Everton were interested in the youngster but it looks like he is bound for Old Trafford.
His signing would be the first for Man United in what promises to be a busy summer for the club after their disappointing season. Hansen-Aaron would be expected to play for the United youth sides and would hope to follow the footsteps of Marcus Rashford in playing for the first team.
