Chelsea are in the process of offering Brazilian winger Willian a new contract as they look to keep the player due to the transfer ban.
Chelsea are currently under a transfer ban which means that the club cannot make any transfers in the summer. This has made the west London club offer a couple of veteran players new contracts with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Willie Caballero recently signing new one-year deals.
According to the Daily, Star Willian is in line for a new deal after rising in prominence this season under Maurizio Sarri. The Brazilian has been ever-present for the club since his arrival from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.
A two-year contract is on the offering as the club has paused the policy of only offering single year deals to players above 30 years.
Willian is a player that divides the opinion with some section believing that he is an average player while others say that he does his job with much fanfare and aplomb.
Notwithstanding, Willian has been a regular under Mourinho, Conte and Sarri which shows that he is a quality winger. His performances this season has been mixed but he was part of the team that won the Europa League.
