Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi is edging closer to signing a new contract with the club according to reports. It is claimed by media sources in England that the 18-year-old has been offered a five-year contract that would see him pledge his future to the club.
Hudson-Odoi’s transfer saga was one of the highlights of the club last season as German side Bayern Munich tried to sign the young forward. The German outfit made three transfer bids for the player, with the last bid worth £35 million in a bid to sign the player.
It is understood that the arrival of Frank Lampard as the new head coach has changed things regarding the player’s choice to commit his future. Hudson-Odoi was frustrated last season with the lack of playing time under manager Maurizio Sarri.
The England international is highly rated within the Blues setup as one of their brightest prospect.
The Blues have tabled a contract worth £100,000-a-week with other incentives as well.
His current contract runs until the summer of 2020 and the club are hopeful that he would put pen to paper in the coming days.
This transfer looks like one that has been concluded and it is only a matter of time before he signs the dotted lines.
