Arsenal have been actively linked to a number of players in the transfer window as the North London club looks to bolster their squad.
According to reports from Italy, the Gunners have made an offer for Spanish winger Suso but face stiff competition for his signature. Italian based tabloid Milan News reports that the Gunners have made a formal bid for the 25-year-old forward.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery has kept no secret of his wish to add more width to the attack with the likes of Alex Iwobi failing to impress last campaign. Suso is the perfect winger for the club with his ability to stretch the play.
Milan are said to have held a meeting about the future of the player and have assessed the offers received from several clubs. Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and West Ham have made bids for the former Liverpool player.
Suso’s release clause is set at around £35 million and Milan are under pressure to sell in order to comply with FFP regulations after missing out of the Champions League.
Suso would be an excellent purchase for the Gunners, he has really improved his game since leaving Liverpool some few years ago. He would be an excellent outlet on the right with his ability to cut into his favourite left foot reminiscent of Dutch star Arjen Robben.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would be able to complete the deal given their relative financial constraints.
