Liverpool football club were not expected to be busy but it now looks as though they are keen on making 2-3 quality signings this summer.
Report from France (h/t Metro) claims that Liverpool have made an initial move for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
It is reported that the Champions League holders have launched an inquiry over the availability of the France international. L’Equipe says that Liverpool are launching a big money move in a bid to sign the forward this summer.
Neymar looks set to join Barcelona this summer and that could see Dembele relegated to the bench next season.
The 22-year-old is also linked with a move to PSG in a potential player plus cash deal that would see Neymar re-sign for Barcelona whilst Dembele makes the move to the France capital.
The same report says that Dembele wants to prove his worth in Spain whilst Barcelona are not keen on selling the star attacker who joined from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017.
Liverpool would be expected to pay a fee around £93m if they succeed in convincing Barcelona to sell the attacker. The Reds are not afraid of spending big on top players, having paid £75m for the signature of Virgil van Dijk in January 2018.
Dembele scored eight goals and made five assists in 29 La Liga appearances for FC Barcelona last season.
