Gonzalo Higuain eying Chelsea move as he ‘waits for Sarri’s call’

Chelsea summer target, Gonzalo Higuain who is currently struggling at AC Milan is reportedly waiting for the Blues to make a move on him.

According to reports, Higuain is waiting to be rescued by Sarri from the claws of AC Milan because he is finding life unbearably difficult at San Siro. The club is not willing to permanent the player’s loan deal.

Maurizio Sarri was sufficiently interested in the player in the summer but the Chelsea hierarchy weren’t too keen on him and the link grew stale and the player instead joined AC Milan on a season long-loan from Juventus.

The players desire to join Chelsea stem from the fact that he thrived under the current Chelsea coach whilst they were employees in Napoli.

It was under the influence of the Italian gaffer that he equalled the Serie A record of must goals scored in a single campaign, 36.

Maurizio Sarri is a coach that appreciates talents that he has worked with previously if Jorginho is any proof of this trend.

Gonzalo Higuain might be too old for the lead role in a premier league big club like Chelsea, but his experience will be pivotal to this Chelsea team lacking impetus at the front.

The 31-year-old attacker is desperate for a move and perhaps he believed that his career can be re-established under the man that brought him success prior.

Chelsea can do with a striker after another poor outing against Tottenham Hotspur. They were flat from the defence to the attack.

The lost has taken them to fourth on the table, two-points below rivals Hotspur.
