‘I hope they let me leave’ – Yannick Carrasco drops huge transfer hint

The transfer window is up and running with several clubs looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. One of such teams is Arsenal with the Premier League club reportedly close to sealing a move for Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco.

The news of an impending transfer for the Belgium international has dominated the tabloids in England with the Gunners looking to bring depth to their attack.

Carrasco appeared to confirm the rumours in an interview with Spanish news outlet Sport. When quizzed about the progress of the transfer, he replied that negotiations have been going on well.

‘Negotiations are going well,’  ‘I am aware that I am an important player for the team but I hope they let me leave.  ‘From a personal and family point of view, I would like to return to Europe.’

Carrasco has always spoken of his preference to play in England, should he returns to Europe, due to the fast-paced brand of football that suits his strengths.

The 25-year-old surprised many last seasons when he made the move to China but appears to be keen on a move back to Europe.

A transfer fee of £25 million has been touted by media sources in England and this transfer makes sense for the Emirates based outfit.

Arsenal lack depth in the wide position this campaign with the likes of Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan failing to impress.

Carrasco is blessed with pace, power and the ability to create chances out of nothing and his arrival would pose an extra threat to opposition defences.

This transfer appears sealed unless something drastic happens in the coming days.
