Liverpool are out to bolster their squad this summer in a bid to launch a strong title challenge next season.
The Reds are linked with a number of players, most recently Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.
However, Spanish news publication Marca reports that Liverpool are amongst the clubs interested in the services of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos. It is also reported that Jurgen Klopp wants the player signed at Anfield this summer.
Liverpool will have to pay £45m for the midfielder as that is the price Madrid are asking for in exchange for the player. The Spanish giants are hoping to recoup over £300m in transfer fees this summer and have lined up a number of players who are considered surplus to requirements at the club.
Top on the list is Gareth Bale, followed by Lucas Vazquez and Ceballos. The latter is considered a bench-warmer at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium and also looks likely to leave this summer.
Ceballos started only four La Liga games under the Zinedine Zidane in 2017/18 and his future at Madrid looks bleak following the return of Frenchman at the club.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool are genuinely interested in the Spanish midfielder who is also under the radar of Tottenham Hotspur. The north London club have reportedly held talks with Madrid in a bid to sign the 22-year-old.
