There is good news for the Liverpool fans who are a little concerned that their club are yet to make any transfer announcement this summer.
According to a report by Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha, they are reporting that the Reds have sanctioned a €45m move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
Despite rumours to the contrary, the report further claims that this is the first official offer tabled by any club for the Portuguese.
This is coming after Liverpool are reported to have launched an official bid for striker Nicolas Pepe.
Liverpool face stiff competition for the midfielder as he is strongly linked with a move to Manchester United who are reportedly increasingly confident of reaching an agreement for the prolific midfielder.
Reports suggest that United are expected to beat the Reds to the signature of the Fernandes, as they are willing to offer a fee significantly more than what Klopp has sanctioned for the transfer.
Lisbon value the midfielder at £60m, a fee that could possibly see Liverpool douse their interest in signing the player who could pass as the perfect Philippe Coutinho replacement.
Fernandes, who recorded 29 goals and 17 assists, can also play as a second striker.
