Liverpool have been quiet so far with the club seemingly happy with the current squad. However, there could be a major departure this summer as Croatian international Dejan Lovren could be moving to AC Milan.
It is understood that the Italian club are interested in the player and have already made several offers for the player. Lovren has fallen out of favour with manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 29-year old suffered an injury after the World Cup that disrupted his season. After recovering from the injury he found himself playing second fiddle to Van Dirk and Joel Matip.
Liverpool and Milan are reportedly having closed-door meetings over a suitable transfer fee for the defender. Liverpool are demanding for £17.5 million for his services. However, Milan want a lower fee for the player.
Lovren is keen to play regular first team football and is interested in the prospects of playing in Italy.
The World Cup finalist is considered a decent defender by Premier League standards and at age 29, this could be the right time to leave Liverpool. Liverpool apparently want to keep the player for next season as a backup defender.
With Milan lowballing, it looks almost certain that Lovren could remain at the club next season
