Liverpool have enjoyed a mixed pre-season with a number of first-team players missing the friendly games.
The Reds welcomed the trio of Mohammed Salah, Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino last week and the trio are likely to feature in the Community Shield game against Manchester City on Sunday.
Looking at the current options available to manager Jurgen Klopp, we speculate the starting line-up that would feature against Manchester City at Wembley. Alisson is the undisputed number one and should man the sticks.
The defence is pretty stable with Van Dijk and Joe Gomez in the centre back positions. Gomez would be looking to have a stable run in the team after an injury-hit campaign last season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are widely regarded as the best fullback pairing in the league and should make the starting XI on Sunday.
The midfield trio should be the sort of players that Klopp likes using against Manchester City which is Milner, Henderson and Fabinho. The trio would be expected to neutralise the attacker of Manchester City while providing quick counter-attacks.
The front three should be Mohammed Salah, Firmino and Shaqiri with Mane still unavailable.
Liverpool predicted line-up (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Milner; Salah, Shaqiri, Firmino
