Manchester United are reportedly the favourites to sign Benfica prodigy Joao Felix according to reports from his country.
It has emerged that Manchester United have agreed to match the buyout clause in his contract believed to be worth £92 million. Felix has enjoyed a breakout season for the Portuguese giants with comparisons being made with another Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
He managed to score 15 goals and create a further seven in just 26 league games which has resulted in a lot of hype surrounding him.
Manchester United sent scouts to watch the attacking midfielder play and the club are convinced that he can thrive at the theatre of dreams.
Felix is a versatile player capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or on the wings with his combination of pace and unerring accuracy in front of goal his major strengths.
PSG, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are understood to be interested in the forward but Manchester United have the edge as they are not hampered by financial commitments. PSG cannot splash big due to FFP constraints while Barcelona are looking to sign Antoine Griezmann.
This summer promises to be a huge one for Manchester United and the signing of Felix would be a good one for the club as he is one for the future.
