Manchester United are favourites to sign Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes after making a formal bid.
It is reported in Portugal that Manchester United have offered an initial fee of €55million with a further €25million in bonuses taking the total fee to €80million.
This bid has already swayed Sporting Lisbon as it is better than the €50 million bid offered by rivals Manchester City. Manchester United have grown increasingly confident that they have the transfer wrapped up.
Fernandes has emerged as one of the hottest transfer targets in the summer after his sensational season with Sporting Lisbon.
The 24 was pivotal in creating and scoring goals netting 31 goals as well as providing 17 assists in all competitions. His versatility and goalscoring threat from midfield makes him a star attraction for top European sides
United wants to partner the Portuguese alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in what looks like an excellent midfield trio on paper.
It is understood that Fernandes is not worried about his future and has left it to the club and his representatives to finalize the transfer.
The transfer window is still early and there could be further twists that could emerge in this transfer before the end of the window.
