Manchester United’s failure in securing the services of Antoine Griezmann has seen them eye an ambitious move for a top Premier League striker.
United are linked with a shock move for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Red Devils are reported to be ready to dole out around £70m as a first offer for the prolific striker.
Aubamyang has been linked to a move out of the Emirates stadium with two Chinese Super League clubs, Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG jostling for his signature.
It is reported that the striker has been tempted with a whooping £300,000 per week offer but Arsenal are seeking to extend his contract.
United are making efforts in bolstering their attack as they are linked with big money for Nicolas Pepe while they are gearing up to offload Romelu Lukaku to Italian club Inter Milan.
The Red Devils appear to pushing their luck in trying to lure Aubameyang to Old Trafford. However, they have some previous with this kind of move, buying Robin van Persie in 2012 against all odds.
Aubameyang has shown that he can perform consistently at top level, as he scored more goals, (31), than Marcus Rashford and Lukaku combined.
The Gabon international has two more years left on his current contract with Arsenal which makes this move quite complicated.
