Manchester United have all but wrapped up the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and are looking forward to making more signings.
Wan-Bissaka is expected to make a £50 million move to the club and Newcastle ace Sean Longstaff could be the next target for the Red Devils according to reports from England.
The Newcastle midfielder enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last season and is considered as a future star. It is understood that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on the youngster.
Manchester United are currently light in the midfield after the exit of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini in subsequent windows. The club are yet to make a midfield signing this summer and the Metro claims that United are ready to make a move for Longstaff.
Newcastle are thought to have demanded a transfer fee of £30 million for the defender and United are ready to pay the desired amount. The Magpies are in a bit of disarray with the impending exit of manager Rafa Benitez and the uncertainty regarding the sale of the club.
This has weighed heavily on the mind of the 21-year-old midfielder and he is open to a switch to Manchester this summer.
Longstaff is not really the sort of player that United should be splashing such a huge fee for as they could get the likes of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax for a similar fee.
It could be that the club are looking to develop a British core of players following the arrival of Daniel James and impending transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
This transfer looks like one that has a 50% chance of completion.
