After a poor outing last season, Manchester United look determined to sign new players this summer and have been linked with several centre-backs players as well as midfield players.
Daily Mirror reports that the Red Devils may be about to land a new midfielder in the person of Bruno Fernandes.
Manchester United have been linked with moves to sign the Portugal international during the summer but were yet to make any official offer.
This is because coach Ole Gunner Solskjaer had focused on signing Harry Maguire from Leicester City, but with the Foxes refusing to let the center back leave, the Red Devils have returned to the chase for Bruno Fernandes.
It is reported that Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Phinno is in England and is closing in on a deal which could be worth €6m a year for his client.
The report added that rival club, Tottenham Hotspur are also planning to meet with Phinno over the midfielder.
Bruno Fernandes scored 36 goals in all his 66 appearances for Sporting Lisbon. The player has spent most of his career in the Italian Seria A with Sampdoria being his last club before moving to Portugal.
The 24-year-old is known for his goal-scoring skills despite being at the heart of the field.
Fernandes will make a perfect signing for the Red Devils considering the fact they are short in midfield following the departure of Ander Herrera. Fernandes is a good choice for the Red Devil and it would be good to have him in the English Premier League in next season.
