Manchester United are reportedly considering a sensational transfer for Sevilla forward Wissam Ben Yedder.
France Football claims that Manchester United have joined French champions PSG in the battle to sign the 28-year old forward. Ben Yedder has consistently been one of the best performers for Sevilla since his switch from Toulouse in 2016.
Manchester United have a firsthand experience of the forward who scored the two goals that knocked the club out of the Champions League two seasons ago.
It is understood that Sevilla are open to selling the forward for a fee of around £36 million. Spanish side Barcelona are also said to have indicated interest for the French forward.
United are thought to have lined up the striker as a replacement for Lukaku who is linked with a move to Inter Milan.
The Belgium forward has failed to light up Old Trafford since his big-money move from Everton two seasons ago and is linked with a move to Inter Milan.
Ben Yedder is a quality forward but is he an upgrade to Lukaku? The answer is no. If Manchester United want to replace the physical Belgium they would need to bring in a marquee signing that would excite the fans.
Unfortunately, Ben Yedder is not that player, but he could be a good second striker for the club.
