Manchester United have emerged as a potential destination for Colombia ace James Rodriguez. The Real Madrid man is keen on leaving the club this summer with a number of clubs reportedly interested in his services.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be pushing for the transfer as James remains a quality player. The 27-year-old has been told by manager Zinedine Zidane that he is surplus to requirements and is expected to exit the club leave in the summer.
Rodriguez spent the past two seasons at German club Bayern Munich and his performances was decent for the club. However Bayern Munich have decided not to take the option to sign the player permanently which means that he would have to return to his parent club.
James is a solid player and is valued at around £40 million by Manchester United. This transfer is one that Manchester United must not let slip.
Napoli are thought to be in negotiations with Real Madrid over a loan deal with an option to buy as they seek to reunite the player with manager Carlo Ancelotti. However, it is reported that Rodrigues prefers a permanent move to Man Utd over another loan transfer.
With the future of Paul Pogba still uncertain, it would be no surprise if Real Madrid offer James Rodriguez as part of the transfer package for Paul Pogba.
