Manchester United have reportedly launched a transfer bid worth £35m for Dinamo Zagreb ace Dani Olmo. The young midfielder impressed in the European u21 tournament where he was named man of the match in the final match between Spain and Germany.
There are reports that Olmo’s performances for his country in the tournament have seen more clubs circle for the player. The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal are reported to be keeping tabs on his development.
Olmo is a creative attacker capable of initiating quick attacks and scoring goals. It is an open secret that Manchester United are looking to sign a midfielder this season. The departure of Ander Herrera leaves the club light in midfield and Olmo is the latest player to be linked to this role.
It is understood that the Red Devils are prepared to pay £35m for his services which would be a record fee received by any Croatian club for a transfer. Olmo has been superb for the Croatian outfit since breaking into the first team.
He has won both the best player and best young player awards of the 2018–19 for his performances for Dinamo Zagreb.
If he makes the move he would continue Manchester United new policy of signing young talented players as Solskjaer aims to build a squad capable of challenging for trophies.
