Manchester United are set to make a sensational move for out-of-favour Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale according to reports in England.
Calciomercatoweb claims that United are ready to make a loan bid for the player as this would allow them to have the player for next season without paying a huge transfer fee. Bale’s stock has fallen in the past season after enduring a torrid campaign.
Injuries and loss of form contributed to an underwhelming season for the pacy forward who could not showcase the best of his abilities on a consistent basis.
Real Madrid have embarked on a huge spending spree with the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Militao arriving the club on big money transfers.
It is understood the Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has informed Bale that he is not part of his plans and the Welshman is widely expected to leave in the summer.
Several clubs are interested in his services but his wages is a major detrimental factor that has seen clubs baulk at the prospect of signing him.
Bale currently earns £480,000 weekly and this would shatter the wage structure at a lot of clubs. United are one of the clubs that can afford to pay such huge wages for his services and a loan deal is a fair offer for the player.
