Manchester United are close to completing a move for Swansea and Wales winger Daniel James according to reports from England. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a good stint in the Championship this season which has alerted several clubs in the Premier League.
Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham had been linked to the forward of late but United appears to have won the race for his signature. It is understood that Swansea are willing to sell for around £15 million which United are willing to match.
James was close to a January transfer move to Championship side Leeds United but Swansea pulled the plug at the eleventh hour. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to rebuild in the summer with a transfer kitty of over £100 million made available for the Norwegian tactician.
Despite being linked with some big names, the Red Devils also want to get some of the best home-grown British talent that could blossom at Old Trafford.
James fits the bill and could prove a bargain for the club if he indeed makes the move in the summer. The 21-year-old had a decent season scoring four goals and providing seven as Swansea finished 10thin the Championship table.
