According to a new report, Arsenal FC are close to sealing a deal for an attacker in the person of Gremio winger and Brazil international, Everton Soares.
The report made it known that plans are also underway for Everton Soares to undergo medical examinations with the club as soon as possible in his home country, Brazil.
Everton having to do his medical in Brazil is unusual but it means he wouldn’t necessarily have to be in England for the test.
Either ways, the Gunners fans wouldn’t mind so long the deal is completed. This is because 23-year-old Everton Soares is considered one of the youngest attackers with exciting skills at the moment.
It is reported that Arsenal could end up paying the sum of £28 million as initial fee and £12 million, as add-on to seal the deal, which works out at a whooping £36m (€40m).
Everton Soares became the cynosure during the Copa America tournament this summer which was won by Brazil.
His performance during the tournament showed that he is ready to take his game to the bigger stage and Arsenal FC could yet be his next destination.
Arsenal signing the Brazil international would also be a plus for the club if they intend to break boundary in the coming 2019/2020 season.
This is because their duo attackers; Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan underperformed last season.
