Manchester United are edging closer to a transfer for key transfer target Aaron Wan-Bissaka according to reports from England. The defender has been linked to the club in the past few weeks as a transfer appears to be close to fruition.
Football Insider claim that Wan-Bissaka will undergo medical this week at United’s Carrington HQ.
The report further reveals that Crystal Palace have agreed on a deal that would see United pay an initial £40 million that could rise to £55 million involving add-ons.
Wan-Bissaka is regarded as one of the best young defenders in the Premier League and would be expected to fill the void in the right-back position. The Crystal Palace fullback was impressive in the just concluded campaign, displaying excellent performances all through the season.
The England u21 international would be expected to replace outgoing club captain Antonio Valencia who is set to leave Manchester United this summer. United fans would be expecting the youngster to bring pace and excitement to the right-back position.
United have been linked to a number of defenders which includes, Raphael Varane and Kalidou Koulibaly as the club looks to strengthen the defence.
United conceded 54 goals in the Premier League last season and the club would be hoping that the signing of Wan-Bisssaka would represent the first step in rectifying this problem.
