Saliba is regarded as one of the brightest talents in French football. Arsenal are of the view that the defender and could provide a long-term solution to their defensive woes.
The Gunners defence parades the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Montreal who are over 30 so it makes much sense if young players such as Saliba are blooded into the system.
