Scottish Premier League side Rangers have announced the signing of Sheyi Ojo from Liverpool on a season long loan deal. The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the top young talents at the club and would be reunited with Liverpool legend Steven Gerard at Ibrox.
Ojo was part of the England u20 squad that won the World Cup in 2017 and came off the bench in the finals against Venezuela.
His career has not gotten the right trajectory since then having spent last season at French side Reims. The England u21 international has also had spells in the Championship at Fulham, Wolves and Wigan Athletic.
He would be hoping that a move north to Scotland would be the transfer that puts his career on the right track. Rangers boss Steven Gerard tried bringing the player to the club last season but a move failed to materialise.
However, the club has moved early for the pacey forward who can also slot into the midfield. Ojo is known for his dribbling skills and pace. His arrival at Rangers will add an extra threat in attack for the Gers as they look to break rivals Celtic dominance next season.
Liverpool would be hopeful that the youngster gets the much-needed exposure next season as they have high hopes in him.
Ojo has made a handful of appearances for Liverpool and has features just 12 times since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp.
