Solskjaer tells Man United board to sign Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United fans are coming round to the idea of seeing their star midfielder leave the club this summer. The 24-year-old despite having two years left on his current contract has been strongly linked with a move out of the club.

The likes of Real Madrid and Juventus have been reported to have made advances for the France international this summer and it now looks as though United have found a worthy replacement for their most expensive signing.

The Metro reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the Man United board of his desire to see Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford. The Norwegian manager wants a team he can control and has his options open just in case Pogba happens to leave this summer.

United are already in talks with Fernandes’ representatives and it is reported that the club have already tabled an initial offer worth £40m. However, Sporting Lisbon have hurriedly rejected the bid and are demanding a deal worth around £70m for the Portugal international.

United are reported to have thrashed out terms with Fernandes’ agent over the phone and the agent has flown into England for talks in a bid to broker a deal for his client.

At this stage, United are the club in pole position to sign the 24-year-old as the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool have doused their interest for the prolific midfielder.

The United fans are hoping that Fernandes joins their club even if it means their star midfielder Pogba leaving Old Trafford this summer.
